وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ
Wa jaʻalnā min'hum' 'a'immatan yah'dūna bi'am'rinā lammā ṣabarū . wakānū bi'āyātinā yūqinūna
And We appointed, from among them, leaders, giving guidance under Our command, so long as they persevered with patience and continued to have faith in Our Signs.

Allah made leaders from among them who guided others, because they were patient and sure of His signs.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes someone a good leader?"
Watch the MiniMuslims episode Leadership.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two qualities made them leaders?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I become a good leader?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Sajdah is surah 32. Find ayah 24. The key words sabaru and yuqinun mean they were patient and they were certain. Good leaders are not the loudest; they are patient and have firm faith. Leaders in the Quran guide others by Allah's command, not for fame or power.
Fact: Which prophet is called a leader for mankind in Surah Al-Baqarah after passing his tests?
Ages 5–8: Patient leader. Lead a simple game and practise waiting calmly for everyone.
Ages 9–12: Leader qualities. Rank five leadership qualities and explain your top two.
Finish with: "I found that it was prophet ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will lead something at home with patience."
Action: Lead something at home with patience.
