يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ
Yā'ah'la l-kitābi lima tak'furūna bi'āyāti -llahi wa'antum' tash'hadūna
Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses?

The People of the Book are asked why they reject Allah's signs while they themselves bear witness to them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is it hard to deny something you've seen yourself?"
Play the short Ali 'Imran clip of ayat 61–70 from pondok lukman.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are they asked about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone reject what they know is true?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 70. Some knew from their own books that a final prophet would come. The ayah asks why they rejected what they recognised. Honesty means accepting the truth.
Fact: The Qur'an says some People of the Book recognised the Prophet as they recognised their own children (2:146).
Ages 5–8: Seeing is knowing. Talk about admitting you were wrong.
Ages 9–12: Honest heart. Write why accepting truth takes courage.
Finish with: "They were ___ to the signs."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will admit when I am wrong."
Action: Admit when you am wrong.
