يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Yā'ah'la l-kitābi lima tal'bissūna l-ḥaqqa bil-bāṭili watak'tumūna l-ḥaqqa wa'antum' taʻ'lamūna
Ye People of the Book! Why do ye clothe Truth with falsehood, and conceal the Truth, while ye have knowledge?

They are asked why they cover truth with falsehood and hide the truth while they know it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens if you mix clean water with muddy water?"
Ummah Muslim posted a short recitation of ayah 71 of Ali 'Imran. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is mixed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is a half-truth harmful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 71. Mixing a little lie into the truth confuses people. Hiding the truth is wrong too. Believers speak clearly and honestly.
Fact: A half-truth can mislead people as much as a lie.
Ages 5–8: Muddy water. Mix clean and muddy water and see what happens.
Ages 9–12: Clear truth. Write why half-truths are harmful.
Finish with: "Don't mix truth with ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will tell the whole truth, not just part."
Action: Tell the whole truth, not just part.
