۞ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
walaqad' waṣṣalnā lahumu l-qaw'la laʻallahum' yatadhakkarūna
Now have We caused the Word to reach them themselves, in order that they may receive admonition.

Allah delivered the message to them piece by piece, one part after another, so they would take it to heart.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do teachers repeat important lessons?"
Try the SimpleQuran upload of Maher Al-Muaiqly and read the English as he recites.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did the message reach them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why was the Quran sent bit by bit?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 51. The key word wassalna means We made it reach them continuously. The Quran came gradually, ayah after ayah, with reminders repeated. This helped people learn, remember and change slowly.
Fact: How many surahs are in the Quran?
Ages 5–8: Step learning. Learn a short ayah one word at a time.
Ages 9–12: Little by little. Write why learning in small steps works well.
Finish with: "I found there are ___ surahs."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one new ayah, a few words each day."
Action: Learn one new ayah, a few words each day.
