Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who should be the boss of my choices?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 50. The key word ahwa' is the plural of hawa, a pull of the heart. Feeling wants is human, yet letting them steer every choice takes us off the path. Guidance from Allah is like a map; desires without guidance are like walking blindfolded.

Fact: Which surah's ayah 43 asks the Prophet whether he could be a guardian over someone whose god is their own whim?

Ages 5–8: Steering wheel. Draw a car steered by 'guidance' instead of 'I want'.

Ages 9–12: Boss check. Write about a time you chose guidance over what you wanted.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___."

Talk together:

• What goes wrong when wants take charge?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can guidance protect us?
• When did you say no to a want?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say no to one want for a good reason."
