4-I guide
Allah: there is no god but Him, the Lord of the Mighty Throne.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Whose throne is greater than any queen's?"
Mufti Menk tells the story of Sulaiman and the hoopoe on Islam Central. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whose throne is mighty?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How is Allah's Throne greater than the queen's?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 26. The key words al-'arsh al-'azim mean the Mighty Throne. The hoopoe had just described the queen's great throne. Then it reminded everyone that Allah's Throne is far greater. Every earthly power is small next to Allah. Many readers make a sajdah at this ayah.
Fact: In which surah and ayah is Ayat al-Kursi?
Ages 5–8: Big and bigger. Line up objects from small to big and talk about Allah's greatness.
Ages 9–12: Two thrones. Write how the queen's throne compares with Allah's Throne.
Finish with: "I found Ayat al-Kursi is in Surah ___, ayah ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of Ayat al-Kursi."
Action: Learn the meaning of Ayat al-Kursi.
