Ask: "Why would people worship the sun?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were the people worshipping?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did a bird know this was wrong?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 24. The key word yasjudun means they prostrate. They bowed to the sun, a created thing. The hoopoe knew the sun is a creation, not the Creator. Shaytan makes wrong worship look good. A sign to ponder: the sun rises and sets by Allah's command.

Fact: About how far is the Sun from the Earth?

Ages 5–8: Made or Maker. Sort pictures into things Allah made, like the sun and the moon.

Ages 9–12: Creation, not Creator. Write why the sun cannot be worshipped.

Finish with: "I found the Sun is about ___ kilometres away."
