إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةًۭ تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌۭ
'Innī wajadttu (i)m'ra'atan tam'likuhum' wa'ūtiyat' min kulli shay''in walahā ʻar'shun ʻaẓīmun
"I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne.

The hoopoe reported a woman ruling the people of Saba, given everything she needed, with a magnificent throne.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you imagine a queen's throne looks like?"
Yaqeen Institute's episode Truth Above Ego tells about the Queen of Saba.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the queen have?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What kind of ruler was she?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 23. The key word 'arshun 'azim means a mighty throne. The Queen of Saba was powerful and wealthy. The Quran later shows she was also thoughtful and wise. Saba was known for trade and for a great dam that watered its farms.
Fact: What great ancient dam was built in the land of Saba?
Ages 5–8: Throne design. Draw a throne fit for a queen.
Ages 9–12: Rich land. Find out what made ancient Saba wealthy.
Finish with: "I found it was the ___ dam."
Talk together:
