لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولًۭا
Llaqad' 'aḍallanī ʻani dhdhik'ri baʻ'da 'idh' jā'anī . wakāna shshay'ṭānu lil''insāni khadhūlan
"He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!"

He admits his friend pulled him away from the reminder after it had reached him, and Shaytan always abandons people in the end.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 29. The key word khadhul means one who leaves you without help. Shaytan whispers and then abandons. The reminder, the Quran, stays with us if we hold on to it.

Ages 5–8: Hold on. Hold a rope tightly and talk about holding on to the Quran.
Ages 9–12: Deserter. Write how Shaytan's promises turn out empty.
Finish with: "I found it is ayah ___ of Ibrahim."
