وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا
Wa yaw'ma yaʻaḍḍu ẓẓālimu ʻalā yaday'hi yaqūlu yālay'tanī (i)ttakhadh'tu maʻa rrassūli sabīlan
The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger!

On that Day the wrongdoer will bite his hands in regret, wishing he had walked the same road as the Messenger.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do people do when they feel deep regret?"
A short part is enough. Let Abdul Rahman As-Sudais's recitation, from QuraaanChannel, set a calm mood.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the wrongdoer wish?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Which path will I choose while I can?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 27. The key word ya'addu means bites. Biting one's hands is a picture of bitter regret. The wrongdoer wishes he had followed the Prophet's way. We can choose that way today.
Fact: Which ayah of An-Naba ends with the disbeliever wishing he were dust?
Ages 5–8: Path choice. Lay two paper paths and walk the one marked 'the Prophet's way'.
Ages 9–12: Regret or relief. Write what someone might regret and what someone might be glad about on that Day.
Finish with: "I found it is ayah ___ of An-Naba."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will follow one Sunnah habit each day."
Action: Follow one Sunnah habit each day.
