Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Have you ever played the whispering game where a message changes as it goes round?"

The Full Quran channel has Abdul Basit's mujawwad An-Nur. Listen to a short stretch.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they think about the story, and what did Allah think?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do small words sometimes do big harm?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 15. Notice the picture: the story went from tongue to tongue, as if it never passed through the mind. People thought it was nothing, but to Allah it was very serious. Our words matter more than we think.

Ages 5–8: Whisper chain. Play the whispering game and see how the message changes.

Ages 9–12: Small but big. List three 'small' words that can hurt and three that can heal.

Finish with: "I found the voice box is called the ___."

• Which words do you think are small but big?
• How can you stop a story going round?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will stop a story at me ___ (where)."
