إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا عَالِينَ
'Ilā fir'ʻaw'na wamala'iyhī fa-s'tak'barū wakānū qaw'man ʻālīna
To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people.

They were sent to Pharaoh and his chiefs, who were arrogant people who thought themselves high.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does a proud peacock do?"
Only a few minutes are needed: Mukhtar Al-Haj recites Al-Mu'minun on القارئ مختار الحاج - Mukhtar Al Hajj.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How does Allah describe Pharaoh and his chiefs?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is arrogance so dangerous?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mu'minun is surah 23. Find ayah 46. Pharaoh and his leaders thought they were above everyone. Arrogance makes people refuse the truth. Humility opens the heart.
Fact: Why do peacocks spread their tails? Find out.
Ages 5–8: Humble or proud. Act out proud and humble ways to walk and talk.
Ages 9–12: Pride signs. List signs of pride and their opposites.
Finish with: "I found peacocks spread their tails to ___."
