فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَٰبِدُونَ
Faqālū 'anu''minu libasharay'ni mith'linā waqaw'muhumā lanā ʻābidūna

They scoffed at believing two ordinary men whose own people were their servants.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is anyone less important because they are poor?"
Hear a short part of Abdul Basit Abdus-Samad's recitation on روائع فضيلة الشيخ/ عبد الباسط عبد الصمد.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why did they look down on Musa and Harun?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does Allah judge people by their power?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mu'minun is surah 23. Find ayah 47. Pharaoh's people had made the Children of Israel serve them, so they looked down on them. Allah doesn't value people by money or power, but by goodness.
Fact: Which ayah says the most honoured with Allah is the most mindful? (Al-Hujurat, 49:13.).
Ages 5–8: Equal shares. Share snacks equally among everyone.
Ages 9–12: Value. Write what really makes a person valuable.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be kind to someone others ignore."
