قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ
Qālū yāmūssā 'immā 'an tul'qiya wa'immā 'an nnakūna 'awwala man' 'al'qā
They said: "O Moses! whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?"

The magicians asked Musa whether he would throw first or they should.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you go first or second in a contest?"
Listen together as Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary recites ayat 65–71 of Ta-Ha, a short clip shared by Keys To Knowledge.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What choice did the magicians offer?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they ask politely?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ta-Ha is surah 20. Find ayah 65. The magicians were confident. They offered Musa the choice. Musa's answer shows his trust in Allah.
Fact: Read 20:66: who did Musa let go first?
Ages 5–8: Taking turns. Play a game taking turns politely.
Ages 9–12: Confidence. Write about the difference between pride and trust.
Finish with: "I found ___ went first."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will let someone go first in a game or line."
