ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
Thumma tawallay'tum mmin[m] baʻ'di dhālika . falaw'lā faḍ'lu -llahi ʻalay'kum' waraḥ'matuhu lakuntum mmina l-khāssirīna
But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

Then they turned away, and if not for Allah's grace and mercy they would have been among the losers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What saves us when we slip?"
Listen together as Mishary Alafasy recites ayat 61–65 of Al-Baqarah, a short clip shared by Al Quran for everything.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What saved them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah keep giving chances?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 64. Even when people turn away, Allah's mercy gives more chances. We should use them to come back.
Fact: Fadl means extra kindness from Allah that we didn't earn.
Ages 5–8: Mercy thanks. Thank Allah for a second chance.
Ages 9–12: More chances. Write how to use Allah's mercy well.
Finish with: "Allah's grace and ___ saved them."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will try again at something I gave up on."
Action: Try again at something you gave up on.
