Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is Allah with?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why only an equal response?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 194. Four months are sacred, when fighting was not allowed. If attacked, a response must be equal, never more. Allah is with those who are mindful.

Fact: The four sacred months are Muharram, Rajab, Dhul-Qa'dah and Dhul-Hijjah.

Ages 5–8: Sacred months. Learn the names of the four sacred months.

Ages 9–12: Fair response. Write why responses must not go further.

Finish with: "Allah is with the ___."

Talk together:

• What are the sacred months?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why equal only?
• How will you respond fairly?
