وَأَنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا۟ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى ٱلتَّهْلُكَةِ ۛ وَأَحْسِنُوٓا۟ ۛ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa 'anfiqū fī sabīli -llahi walā tul'qū bi'ay'dīkum' 'ilā ttah'lukati , wa'aḥ'sinū , 'inna -llaha yuḥibbu l-muḥ'sinīna
And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.

Spend in Allah's way and do not throw yourselves into ruin with your own hands; do good, for Allah loves those who do good.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can holding back from giving cause harm?"
Darusshomad Channel posted a short recitation of ayat 191–195 of Al-Baqarah. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should we not throw ourselves into?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can not giving lead to ruin?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 195. A Companion explained that ruin here meant stopping spending for good and staying comfortable. Generosity protects a community.
Fact: Abu Ayyub al-Ansari explained this ayah means don't stop giving for good (Tirmidhi).
Ages 5–8: Give. Give something to a good cause.
Ages 9–12: Generosity protects. Write how giving protects a community.
Finish with: "Allah loves those who do ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give to a good cause."
Action: Give to a good cause.
