فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْذِبُونَ
Fī qulūbihim mmaraḍun fazādahumu -llahu maraḍan . walahum' ʻadhābun 'alīmun[m] bimā kānū yak'dhibūna
In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves).

In their hearts is a sickness, which grew worse, and a painful punishment awaits them for their lying.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can a heart be sick even if the body is well?"
Precious Gems from the Quran and Sunnah has the whole of Al-Baqarah by Mishary Alafasy. Play just the first stretch.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is in their hearts?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What makes a heart sick?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 10. Lying, envy and pride are like illnesses of the heart. If left alone, they grow. Truth, dhikr and tawbah are its medicine.
Fact: The Prophet said there is a piece of flesh in the body: if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and it is the heart (Bukhari).
Ages 5–8: Heart medicine. List things that keep the heart healthy.
Ages 9–12: Heart illnesses. Write three illnesses of the heart and their cures.
Finish with: "Dhikr and tawbah are medicine for the ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do dhikr for two minutes each day."
Action: Do dhikr for two minutes each day.
