وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّۭا
Wa 'aʻ'tazilukum' wamā tad'ʻūna min dūni -llahi wa'ad'ʻū rabbī ʻassā 'allā 'akūna biduʻā'i rabbī shaqiyyan
"And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest."

Ibrahim said he would leave them and their idols and call on his Lord, hoping he would never be disappointed in his du'a.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do when you need to leave a bad situation?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Mishary Alafasy reciting Maryam, shared by cricketer04.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who would Ibrahim call on?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Ibrahim feel hopeful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 48. Ibrahim moved away from idol worship but kept making du'a. He trusted that calling on Allah never leads to disappointment.

Ages 5–8: Du'a jar. Write du'as and put them in a jar.
Ages 9–12: Never disappointed. Write why du'a gives hope.
Finish with: "I found both say ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will add one du'a to my jar each day."
Action: Add one du'a to your jar each day.
