قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِى حَفِيًّۭا
Qāla salāmun ʻalay'ka . sa'as'tagh'firu laka rabbī . 'innahu kāna bī ḥafiyyan
Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious.

Ibrahim said, 'Peace be on you; I will ask my Lord to forgive you, for He has always been kind to me.'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How can 'peace be on you' answer anger?"
Put on Abdul Rahman Al-Ossi's Maryam from From Darkness To Light and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Ibrahim promise to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How could Ibrahim answer with peace?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 47. Ibrahim answered his father's anger with salam and a promise of du'a. That's the way of the prophets: kindness even when others are unkind.
Fact: Find the ayah about answering ignorant people with 'peace' (Al-Furqan 25:63).
Ages 5–8: Salam answer. Practise answering a rude word with 'salam'.
Ages 9–12: Peace. Write how answering with peace changes a situation.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will answer an unkind word with a kind one."
Action: Answer an unkind word with a kind one.
