فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّۭا
Falammā (i)ʻ'tazalahum' wamā yaʻ'budūna min dūni -llahi wahab'nā lahu 'is'ḥāqa wayaʻ'qūba . wakullan jaʻalnā nabiyyan
When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.

When Ibrahim left them, Allah gave him Ishaq and Yaqub, and made each of them a prophet.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What did Ibrahim lose, and what did he gain?"
Hear the opening minutes of Maryam in Idrees Abkar's voice, from Sufyan Qadhi.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who did Allah give Ibrahim?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Allah replace what Ibrahim left?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 49. Ibrahim left his people for Allah. Allah gave him a son, Ishaq, and a grandson, Yaqub, both prophets. When we leave something for Allah, He gives something better.
Fact: Find who Yaqub's famous son was (Yusuf 12:4).
Ages 5–8: Family tree. Draw Ibrahim, Ishaq and Yaqub as a tree.
Ages 9–12: Something better. Write about giving something up for Allah.
Finish with: "I found his son was ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give up one small thing for Allah."
Action: Give up one small thing for Allah.
