فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّۭا
Fanādāhā min taḥ'tihā 'allā taḥ'zanī qad' jaʻala rabbuki taḥ'taki sariyyan
But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;

A voice called to her not to be sad, for her Lord had made a stream flow beneath her.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is the first thing you need when you are tired and thirsty?"
Nouman Ali Khan's Bayyinah talk looks at Maryam's trial and what it teaches about du'a. Parents, watch it first and share one comforting idea.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah place beneath her?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Allah care for Maryam?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 24. Allah comforted Maryam straight away: don't be sad. He gave her fresh water right there. Allah sends help exactly when we need it.
Fact: Why is water so important for our bodies? Find two reasons.
Ages 5–8: Water thanks. Drink a glass of water slowly and say alhamdulillah.
Ages 9–12: Comfort. Write how Allah's help came quickly to Maryam.
Finish with: "I found water helps us by ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will comfort someone who is sad."
Action: Comfort someone who is sad.
