وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًۭا جَنِيًّۭا
Wa huzzī 'ilay'ki bijidh'ʻi nnakh'lati tussāqiṭ' ʻalay'ki ruṭaban janiyyan
"And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.

She was told to shake the palm trunk towards her, and fresh, ripe dates would drop down for her.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Could you shake a whole palm tree by yourself?"
Listen together as Muhammad Al-Luhaidan recites part of Maryam of Maryam, a short clip shared by dawah456.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What would fall from the palm?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah ask Maryam to shake the tree?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 25. A sign to ponder: dates are full of energy and goodness. Maryam was weak, yet she was asked to make an effort. We try our part, and Allah sends the result.
Fact: What nutrients do dates contain? Find two.
Ages 5–8: Date taste. Eat a date together and say bismillah.
Ages 9–12: Effort and trust. Write why we must try even when Allah provides.
Finish with: "I found dates have ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make an effort and trust Allah with the result."
Action: Make an effort and trust Allah with the result.
Check dates are pitted for younger children.
