Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What do you say when you forget something?"

Hear a little of Al-Kahf today. If you forget where you stopped, that's fine; just start again.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where did the helper forget the fish?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did the helper admit his mistake?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 63. The helper admitted his mistake honestly. Forgetting happens to everyone. Owning up helps everyone fix the problem.

Fact: Find the du'a about forgetting in Al-Baqarah (2:286).

Ages 5–8: Own it. Practise saying 'I forgot, I'm sorry.'

Ages 9–12: Honesty. Write why admitting mistakes helps.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
