وَتِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدًۭا
Wa til'ka l-qurā 'ah'lak'nāhum' lammā ẓalamū wajaʻalnā limah'likihim mmaw'ʻidan
Such were the populations we destroyed when they committed iniquities; but we fixed an appointed time for their destruction.

Those towns were destroyed when they kept doing wrong, and Allah had set a time for their end.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What can we learn from towns that disappeared?"
MemQuran has Nasser Al-Qatami's Al-Kahf in Arabic only. A few minutes is enough.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why were the towns destroyed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah give them a set time?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 59. Many past towns were destroyed after being warned for a long time. Allah gave them time to change. Their ruins are lessons for us.
Fact: Find a famous destroyed people mentioned in the Quran, like 'Ad (Al-Haqqah 69:6).
Ages 5–8: Ruins. Look at photos of old ruins and talk about them.
Ages 9–12: Lessons. Write what past towns teach us.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one story of a past people from the Quran."
Action: Learn one story of a past people from the Quran.
