وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ ۖ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوسًۭا
Wa 'idhā 'an'ʻam'nā ʻalāl-'insāni 'aʻ'raḍa wana'ā bijānibihī . wa'idhā massahu shsharru kāna ya'ūssan
Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair!

4-I guide
When people are blessed, they turn away and grow distant, and when trouble touches them, they lose hope.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do you remember Allah more in good times or bad?"
a reciter recites Al-Isra on nizwan ismail. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do people do when blessed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stay close to Allah in good and bad times?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 83. Some people forget Allah when life is good and despair when it's hard. Believers thank Allah in good times and stay hopeful in bad.
Fact: Find the ayah 'do not despair of Allah's mercy' (Az-Zumar 39:53).
Ages 5–8: Good and bad. Draw a sunny and a rainy day, both with 'Allah'.
Ages 9–12: Balance. Write how to stay close to Allah always.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah in good moments and make du'a in hard ones."
Action: Thank Allah in good moments and make du'a in hard ones.
