لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Liyak'furū bimā 'ātay'nāhum' . fatamattaʻū . fassaw'fa taʻ'lamūna
(As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)!

So they show ingratitude for what Allah gave them; let them enjoy themselves for a while, for they will soon know.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel when a gift isn't appreciated?"
Settle down and play the start of Nasser Al-Qatami's An-Nahl (AyaaturRahman).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will they soon know?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is ingratitude harmful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 55. Being ungrateful to Allah after receiving His gifts is a big mistake. Enjoyment without thanks doesn't last.
Fact: Ibrahim 14:7 promises more to the thankful. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Gratitude jar. Add a thank-you slip each day.
Ages 9–12: Thanks brings more. Write how being thankful brings more blessings.
Finish with: "Ibrahim 14:7 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will fill my gratitude jar."
Action: Fill your gratitude jar.
