Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What is the difference between looking and really seeing?"

A short clip on Muslim Ummah recites ayah 19 of Ar-Ra'd. Play the whole clip.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who takes the reminder to heart?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be a person of understanding?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Ra'd is surah 13. Find ayah 19. Two people can hear the same ayah: one understands and changes, the other does not. The Quran calls the first 'people of understanding'. The next ayat list what such people do.

Fact: Al-Imran 3:190–191 also describes people of understanding. Read what they do.

Ages 5–8: Really see. Look at a leaf for one whole minute, then share three things you noticed.

Ages 9–12: Wise hearts. Write the difference between knowing something and acting on it.

Finish with: "People of understanding in Al-Imran 3:191 ___."

Talk together:

• Who are people of understanding?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What did you really see today?
• What will you act on?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will act on one ayah I learn."

• Understand and act.
• Do the one-minute look.
• Share your wise-hearts writing.
• Next time: the next ayah (13:20) lists what people of understanding do. Explore it together!

Action: Act on one ayah you learn.
