Ask: "If you want to get better at something, where does it start?"

Muslim Ummah posted a short recitation of ayah 11 of Ar-Ra'd. Listen to all of it together.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who guards each person?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What can I change inside myself today?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Ra'd is surah 13. Find ayah 11. Allah has angels who guard us by His command. The ayah also has a famous lesson: Allah does not change a people's state until they change what is inside themselves. Good change starts with our hearts and habits.

Fact: Habits take time. Some people say a new habit takes weeks of practice. Track one habit for a week and see.

Ages 5–8: Change chart. Pick one small habit, like making your bed, and tick a chart each day.

Ages 9–12: Change inside. Write one thing inside you (anger, laziness) you want to change, and how.

Finish with: "After a week, my habit was ___."

Talk together:

• Who guards us?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Where does change begin?
• What habit will you start?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will tick my change chart every day."

• Share your change plan.
