4-I guide
This ayah warns that this man would face the Fire, reminding us that our choices matter and that Allah is always fair.
Start with bismillah.
For younger children, keep this ayah's talk about choices; you don't need to describe the Fire.
An adult lights a candle. Ask: "Fire can cook our food and keep us warm, but it can also hurt. Why do we need to be careful with it?"
Watch the first few minutes of the Royal Institution's talk about how a candle burns.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why do you think Allah warned people about this before it happened?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Can someone who makes bad choices change?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Masad is surah 111. Find ayah 3. It is the middle ayah of the surah. How many ayat come before and after it?
Fact: What three things does every fire need to keep burning?
Ages 5–8: Watch an adult gently cover a small lit candle with a glass jar. What happens to the flame? Why do you think so?
Ages 9–12: Draw the fire triangle and label its three sides. Then find out how firefighters put out a fire by taking away one side of the triangle.
Finish with: "I found that a fire needs ___, ___ and ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, before I make a choice at ___, I will stop and ask myself: ___."
Action: Stick with your plan for seven days.

Only an adult lights and handles the candle. Keep hair and sleeves away, and have water nearby.
