4-I guide
This ayah is about a man called Abu Lahab who worked against the Prophet's message, and it reminds us that our hands can be used for good or for harm.
Start with bismillah.
Look at your hands. Ask: "What good things can our hands do? Can hands ever do harmful things?" Make two lists together.
Watch the video of beavers using their teeth and paws to build dams and homes for their families.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do you notice in this ayah?" If children ask who Abu Lahab was, write the question down for a teacher or an ustaz/ustazah.
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone use their power against the truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Masad is surah 111. Find ayah 1. The surah's name comes from a word in its last ayah. Can you find which one?
Fact: How many bones are there in one human hand?
Ages 5–8: Helping hands. Trace around your hand. On each finger, draw or write one good thing your hands can do.
Ages 9–12: Look closely at the hand X-ray picture. Count the bones you can see in the fingers, the palm and the wrist. Then compare with the real number you found.
Finish with: "I found that one hand has ___ bones."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use my hands to ___ for ___, at ___."
Action: Use your hands to help someone at home today.
