4-I guide
This ayah teaches Muslims to say clearly that we worship only Allah.
Start with bismillah.
Hold a compass and slowly turn around. Ask: "Whichever way I turn, where does the needle point?"
Watch the first few minutes of the time-lapse of the night sky over the giant telescopes in Chile (it has background music). The stars wheel across the sky, but some things stay steady.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah tell us about who Muslims worship?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What keeps me pointing the right way?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kafirun is surah 109. Find ayah 2. Read the translations of ayat 2 to 5. Which words keep coming back?
Fact: Why does a compass needle always point north?
Ages 5–8: Compass walk. Hold a compass and turn around slowly; watch the needle. Find north. Then, with a grown-up, find the qibla direction from your home.
Ages 9–12: Make a compass. Stroke a sewing needle with a magnet 30 times in the same direction. Lay it on a slice of cork floating in a bowl of water. Which way does it turn?
Finish with: "I found that the needle always points ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, at each salah, I will face the qibla and remember ___."
Action: Practise your plan at every salah this week.

Sewing needles are sharp: an adult helps with the homemade compass.
