4-I guide
This ayah warns that the proud, greedy mocker will be thrown into something that breaks things to pieces.
Start with bismillah.
A note for parents: with younger children, talk about choices and warnings; you don't need to describe the Fire.
Give each child a cracker or a biscuit. Ask them to break it into tiny pieces. Ask: "Can you put it back together? What other things can't be fixed once they break?"
Watch the California State Parks video about how big rocks slowly break down into the sand of the dunes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah say will happen to him?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah warn us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Humazah is surah 104. Find ayah 4. It begins with a strong "No!" Which earlier ayah is it answering?
Fact: What slowly breaks big rocks into tiny grains of sand?
Ages 5–8: Shake test. Put a few sugar cubes in a jar with a lid and shake them for one minute. What happened to the corners?
Ages 9–12: Look at the sand grains picture through a magnifying glass (or real sand). Find three different kinds of grain. Where do you think each one came from?
Finish with: "I found that shaking made the sugar cubes ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will fix ___ by saying sorry or helping ___."
Action: Stick with your plan for seven days.

Sugar cubes and small grains: keep away from toddlers.
