4-I guide
This ayah warns that the person with light scales will have a deep pit as their home.
Start with bismillah.
With younger children, you can simply say: "Allah warns us so we choose good." No need for detail.
Ask: "Have you ever looked down into a deep well or a hole? How did it feel?"
Watch the short National Geographic video of a giant sinkhole that opened in New Zealand.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah warn about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I stay safe from that?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qari'ah is surah 101. Find ayah 9. How does it finish the sentence from ayah 8?
Fact: How do sinkholes form under the ground?
Ages 5–8: Sand sinkhole. Put a paper cup with a hole in it under some sand in a tray. Slowly pull the cup out from below. What happens to the sand?
Ages 9–12: Find out how rainwater dissolves limestone underground. Put a sugar cube under a spoonful of sand and drip water on it. What happens?
Finish with: "I found that the sand ___ when the hole opened."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, before a hard choice at ___, I will ask myself: ___."
Action: Try your plan out each day this week.
