4-I guide
This ayah turns to the person whose scales are light, without enough good deeds.
Start with bismillah.
A note for parents: for younger children, the lesson can simply be "every good deed makes our scale heavier".
Hold a feather and a stone. Ask: "Which is heavier? Which would fall faster?"
Watch the BBC video where a feather and a bowling ball are dropped in a huge vacuum chamber. Watch carefully: what happens?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How is this person's scale different from the one in ayah 6?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I make sure my scale isn't light?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qari'ah is surah 101. Compare ayah 8 with ayah 6. Which word changes?
Fact: Why do a feather and a bowling ball fall together in a vacuum?
Ages 5–8: Heavy or light? Guess which of five objects is heavier, then check with a hanger balance. Were your guesses right?
Ages 9–12: Drop a flat sheet of paper and a scrunched-up sheet from the same height. Which lands first? Why? (The air!)
Finish with: "I found that ___ fell faster because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "Starting today, I will add ___ to my good deeds every day."
Action: Stick with your plan for seven days.
