4-I guide
This ayah describes people on that Day as being like moths flying about in every direction.
Start with bismillah.
Turn on an outside light at night (or look at a street lamp). Ask: "What do the moths and insects do around the light? Do they fly in straight lines?"
Watch the Nature video about why moths fly around lights. Scientists only recently worked it out!
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will people be like on that Day?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would people be like moths?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qari'ah is surah 101. Find ayah 4. Which insect is named in the translation?
Fact: Why do moths circle around lamps at night?
Ages 5–8: Moth watch. With an adult, look at an outdoor light for five minutes after dark. Count the insects and draw how they fly.
Ages 9–12: Find out how moths normally use the moon to find their way, and why lamps confuse them. Draw a diagram.
Finish with: "I found that moths fly ___ around lamps because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I feel confused, I will ___ and ask ___ for help."
Action: Practise your plan whenever you feel muddled this week.

Look at outdoor lights only with an adult, and don't touch hot lamps.
