4-I guide
This ayah says that on that Day the earth will throw out the heavy loads it holds inside.
Start with bismillah.
Put a few small toys inside a ball of play dough, then squeeze it until they pop out. Ask: "What do you think is hidden deep inside the earth?"
Watch the Harvard Museum of Natural History video about a geode, a plain rock with crystals hidden inside.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will the earth bring out?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is the earth carrying deep down?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zalzalah is surah 99. Find ayah 2. The key word athqalaha means its heavy loads. Many scholars explain that this includes everything buried inside the earth.
Fact: How do crystals grow inside a geode?
Ages 5–8: Grow crystals. With an adult, dissolve lots of salt or sugar in warm water, hang a string in it, and check each day for crystals.
Ages 9–12: Earth layers. Draw the inside of the Earth: crust, mantle, outer core, inner core. Label how hot and how thick each layer is.
Finish with: "I found that crystals grow when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look after the earth by ___."
Action: Pick up litter on a walk this week.
An adult should handle hot water for the crystal experiment.
