4-I guide
This ayah ends Surah Al-'Alaq: don't obey the one who stops good, but prostrate to Allah and come close to Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask everyone to go into sujud for a quiet moment, then sit up. Ask: "How did that feel? Where was your head, and where was your heart?"
Watch the time-lapse film of plant roots growing deep into the soil. (Watch the first two minutes.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things does this ayah tell us to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is sujud the time we're closest to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Alaq is surah 96. Find ayah 19, the last ayah. Many mushafs have a special mark beside it. Can you find it? This is a sajdah ayah: when we recite or hear it, it is sunnah to make one prostration (sujud tilawah). Ask your ustaz/ustazah to show you how.
Fact: How deep can the roots of a tree grow?
Ages 5–8: Roots in a jar. Put a bean between wet paper and the side of a glass jar. Watch the root grow down each day.
Ages 9–12: Root vs shoot. Measure your bean's root and shoot every day for a week. Which grows faster at first? Why might that be?
Finish with: "I found that the roots go down so the plant can ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make one special dua in sujud for ___."
Action: Make a quiet dua in sujud every day this week.

Ask an adult before digging up any plant, and wash your hands after handling soil.
