4-I guide
This ayah asks: what if the one who stops prayer denies the truth and turns his back on it?
Start with bismillah.
Put a potted seedling by a window for two days. Then turn it around. Ask: "What do you think it will do next?"
Watch the Science Sauce video explaining how plants grow towards the light.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things did this person do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone turn away from something true?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Alaq is surah 96. Find ayah 13. Read ayat 11, 12 and 13 together. Do you notice a pattern? They each begin with the same question.
Fact: What is the name for a plant bending towards light?
Ages 5–8: Light maze. Put a bean seedling in a shoebox with a hole at one end. Check each day. Does it find the light?
Ages 9–12: Plant record. Measure the angle a seedling bends towards a window each day for five days. Draw a chart.
Finish with: "I found that the plant turned towards ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I'm told something good to do, I will turn towards it by ___."
Action: Keep your seedling growing and check on it each day.
