4-I guide
This ayah asks: when the Prophet ﷺ was a child without parents, didn't Allah give him a safe home?
Start with bismillah.
Wrap a soft toy in a blanket. Ask: "What does a baby need to feel safe?"
Watch the video of a sea otter mother keeping her pup safe. (The film crew talk about filming them, too.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah give the Prophet ﷺ when he was an orphan?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who looks after children who have no parents?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Duha is surah 93. Find ayah 6. The key word yatim means an orphan. The Prophet ﷺ grew up without his father and lost his mother when he was young. Ask your teacher who looked after him.
Fact: How does a sea otter mother keep her pup safe and warm?
Ages 5–8: Safe nest. Make a "nest" for a toy using things from home. What makes it cosy and safe?
Ages 9–12: Animal shelters. Find out three ways animal parents shelter their young (pouches, nests, burrows). Draw one.
Finish with: "I found that a sea otter keeps her pup safe by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank ___ for keeping me safe."
Action: Say thank you to the people who give you a home.
