4-I guide
This ayah warns that for that person, Allah will let the path to hardship open up.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: this ayah is a warning about choices. Keep the focus on choosing well and turning back.
Mix cornflour with a little water in a bowl. Poke it fast, then slowly. Ask: "Why does it feel hard one way and soft the other?"
Watch the Ecotasia video about quicksand: struggling in the wrong way only makes it worse. (It has background music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What path opens for the one who denies?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Can someone on a hard path still turn back?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Layl is surah 92. Find ayah 10. Compare it with ayah 7. The two ayat are almost the same, but one leads to ease and one to hardship (al-'usra).
Fact: What should you do if you ever step into very soft, wet sand?
Ages 5–8: Goo test. Play with your cornflour goo. Squeeze it, then let it rest in your palm. What happens each time?
Ages 9–12: Choice chain. Write one small wrong choice and draw the chain of things that could follow. Then draw how one good choice could break the chain.
Finish with: "I found that the goo goes hard when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, if I make a wrong choice, I will stop and fix it by ___."
Action: Say astaghfirullah and make things right quickly when you go wrong.

Stay away from soft mud, marshes and tidal sand unless an adult who knows the area is with you.
