4-I guide
This ayah describes someone boasting: I have spent piles of money!
Start with bismillah.
Puff your cheeks out as big as you can. Ask: "Do you look bigger? Are you really bigger?"
Watch the National Geographic video about the pufferfish, which puffs itself up to look huge.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is this person boasting about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people show off?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Balad is surah 90. Find ayah 6. The key word lubada means heaped up, piles and piles.
Fact: How does a pufferfish make itself so big?
Ages 5–8: Puff test. Blow up a balloon. It looks big, but what's inside? Talk about the difference between looking big and being big.
Ages 9–12: Needs and wants. Make two lists of things people spend money on. Which are needs, which are wants, and which are just for showing off?
Finish with: "I found that a pufferfish puffs up by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, instead of showing off about ___, I will ___."
Action: Do one good deed without telling anyone.
