Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Balad is surah 90. Find ayah 19. The key word ayatina means Our signs. The Quran calls both its own ayat and the wonders of nature "signs".

Fact: What makes the sky turn red at sunset or sunrise?

Ages 5–8: Sky watch. Look at the sky every evening this week. Draw it and guess tomorrow's weather. Were you right?

Ages 9–12: Sign spotting. List five signs in nature that tell us something is coming (dark clouds, ripe fruit, falling leaves). What does each one tell us?

Finish with: "I found that a red sky at night often means ___."

Talk together:

• Why do people sometimes ignore signs that are clear?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What signs of Allah did you notice today?
• How can we make sure we never ignore Allah's signs?
• Which sign of Allah amazes you most?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice one sign of Allah every day and say subhanAllah."

• Keep a "signs of Allah" diary all week.
• Check your sky-watch guesses with someone at home.
• Make dua for guidance for yourself and everyone you know.
