رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
Raḍū bi'an yakūnū maʻa l-khawālifi waṭubiʻa ʻalā qulūbihim' fahum' lā yaf'qahūna
They prefer to be with (the women), who remain behind (at home): their hearts are sealed and so they understand not.

They were happy to stay at home with those left behind, and their hearts were sealed so they could not understand.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a muscle you never use?"
Play the short clip from MZG of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 87–93 of At-Tawbah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where were they happy to be?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does avoiding good make a heart hard?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 87. Choosing comfort over doing good, again and again, made their hearts closed to understanding. A heart, like a muscle, grows stronger when used for good.
Fact: How muscles grow stronger with use. A sign to ponder about hearts.
Ages 5–8: Heart exercise. Do three good deeds to 'exercise' your heart.
Ages 9–12: Soft heart. Write habits that keep a heart soft and understanding.
Finish with: "A heart grows stronger when used for ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do three good deeds each day."
Action: Do three good deeds each day.
