وَءَاخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ
Wa 'ākharūna mur'jaw'na li'am'ri -llahi 'immā yuʻadhdhibuhum' wa'immā yatūbu ʻalay'him' . wa-llahu ʻalīmun ḥakīmun
There are (yet) others, held in suspense for the command of Allah, whether He will punish them, or turn in mercy to them: and Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.

Others were left waiting for Allah's decision, whether He would punish them or turn to them in mercy, and Allah is All-Knowing and Wise.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel to wait for an answer?"
A short clip on Sunnah Reminders recites ayat 100–110 of At-Tawbah. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were they waiting for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What did they do while waiting?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tawbah is surah 9. Find ayah 106. Three sincere companions who stayed behind from Tabuk had to wait fifty days for Allah's decision. They stayed honest and patient. Their story ends with forgiveness in 9:118.
Fact: The names of the three: Ka'b ibn Malik, Murarah ibn ar-Rabi' and Hilal ibn Umayyah.
Ages 5–8: Patient waiting. Practise waiting patiently for something.
Ages 9–12: The three. Write who the three were and why they waited.
Finish with: "One of the three was Ka'b ibn ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will wait patiently without complaining."
Action: Wait patiently without complaining.
