4-I guide
This ayah says nothing like them had ever been created in all the lands.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's the most amazing building you've ever seen? Who designed it?"
Watch the SciShow video about how cooling lava cracks into neat six-sided columns.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does this ayah say about Iram?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who makes the most amazing designs of all?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fajr is surah 89. Find ayah 8. Read ayat 7 and 8 together. Iram was famous for something nobody had ever made before.
Fact: Why do cooling lava columns form six-sided shapes?
Ages 5–8: Crack test. Make a thin layer of cornflour and water paste on a plate and let it dry. Look at the crack shapes.
Ages 9–12: Hexagon hunt. Find hexagons in nature: honeycomb, basalt, turtle shells, snowflakes. Why might six sides be so common?
Finish with: "I found that lava makes hexagons when ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice one of Allah's amazing designs and tell ___ about it."
Action: Share your hexagon hunt with someone at home.
