4-I guide
This ayah says your Lord poured down on them a lash of punishment.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: keep this calm and short. The lesson is that Allah is in charge, and no one can escape His justice.
Ask: "Have you ever seen hail fall? What did it sound like?"
Watch the NCAR video about how hail forms inside storm clouds.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah pour down on them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who controls the rain and the hail?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fajr is surah 89. Find ayah 13. The key word sabba means poured down, like water from a jug.
Fact: How do hailstones grow bigger inside a cloud?
Ages 5–8: Ice layers. Freeze a little water in a cup, add more water on top and freeze again. Look at the layers, like a hailstone.
Ages 9–12: Hail record. Find out the size of the biggest hailstone ever recorded. Draw it full-size.
Finish with: "I found that hailstones grow by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I see rain, I will make a dua for it to be a blessing."
Action: Learn a dua for when it rains, and say it.

Stay indoors during hailstorms.
