4-I guide
This ayah says they spread a great deal of corruption in those lands.
Start with bismillah.
Drop a little food colouring into a glass of water. Ask: "How far does it spread? Can you get it back out?"
Watch the National Geographic video Plastics 101.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did these peoples spread?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does harm spread from one place to another?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fajr is surah 89. Find ayah 12. The key word fasad means corruption, spoiling what was good.
Fact: How long does a plastic bottle take to break down?
Ages 5–8: Litter pick. With an adult and gloves, pick up litter on a short walk. Count the pieces of plastic.
Ages 9–12: Plastic diary. Count every piece of plastic your family throws away in one day. Find three swaps to use less.
Finish with: "I found that a plastic bottle takes about ___ years to break down."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will repair or clean up ___."
Action: Do your litter pick and count the pieces.

Wear gloves when picking up litter and never touch sharp objects. Wash your hands afterwards.
