4-I guide
This ayah names them: the armies of Pharaoh and of Thamud.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can wind and water change something as hard as rock? How?"
Watch the Nature Newsteam video about how natural rock arches form.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two peoples are named?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What happened to Pharaoh and Thamud?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Buruj is surah 85. Find ayah 18. Two peoples are named: fir'awn (Pharaoh) and thamud. Both were powerful, and both rejected Allah's messengers. Their power didn't last.
Fact: How do wind and water carve shapes in sandstone?
Ages 5–8: Sand carving. Build a damp sand "rock" and gently pour water or blow through a straw at it. What shapes appear?
Ages 9–12: Story map. Find where Thamud lived (north-west Arabia) and where Pharaoh ruled (Egypt) on a map. Which other surahs mention them?
Finish with: "I found that sandstone is carved by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be humble by ___ (listening, saying sorry, helping)."
Action: Do your humble deed.
