وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
How to read it
Wa 'idhā quri'a ʻalay'himu l-qur''ānu lā yas'judūna [۩]
And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,

4-I guide
Some people hear the Quran and still do not bow down to Allah.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you show respect when someone important speaks to you?"
Watch the ScienceABC video about why touch-me-not leaves close when touched. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do these people not do when they hear the Quran?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do we put our heads down in sujud?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Inshiqaq is surah 84. Find ayah 21. Look in the margin of your mushaf: there is often a special sign here, because this is an ayah of sajdah. Many Muslims make a prostration when they recite or hear it. Ask an ustaz or ustazah to show you how.
Fact: Why do the leaves of the touch-me-not plant fold up?
Ages 5–8: Respect signs. Make a list of ways we show respect to the Quran (wudu, sitting nicely, listening quietly).
Ages 9–12: Sajdah hunt. Find out how many sajdah ayat are in the Quran. Find two others in your mushaf.
Finish with: "I found that the touch-me-not plant folds because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make my sujud slow and calm in every salah."
Action: Make your sujud slow and calm in every salah.
